Logging In

Accessing Roster Portal is done via a web browser. Both Staff and Managers use the same login screen to access the system.

Accessing the Login Page

  1. Navigate to www.rosterportal.com.au.
  2. Click on Sign In in the top navigation bar.

The Login Form

To log in successfully, you must complete three specific fields. If you are a new staff member, your manager should provide these details to you.

1. Portal

This is the unique name of your workplace or organisation within the system.

  • Example: JoesCafe or CityLibrary.

2. Your Name

Roster Portal allows flexibility in how you identify yourself. You can enter any one of the following as they are recorded in the system:

  • Your Name (e.g., John Smith)
  • Your Mobile Number
  • Your Email Address

3. Your Password

Enter your personal password.

Case Sensitivity

Passwords in Roster Portal are case-sensitive. Ensure your Caps Lock is off and you are entering capital letters correctly.


First Time Login

If you have just been added to the system, the Manager that added you will have set a password for you or use a temporary placeholder.

Once you log in for the first time, you should immediately change this to a secure password:

  1. Click on the My Info button on the dashboard.
  2. Update your password in the appropriate fields.
  3. Click Save.

"Remember Me" Feature

Below the password field, there is a checkbox labeled Remember me for 7 days.

  • Checked: You will stay logged in on this browser for one week, even if you close the window.
  • Unchecked: You will be logged out after a period of inactivity or when you close the browser.

Security Warning

Do not check "Remember me" if you are using a public computer or a shared device (like an internet cafe or library computer).


Member Login (Business Owners)

The "Member" is the entity that owns the Roster Portal account and handles billing.

If you need to update credit card details, view invoices, or change the Portal Manager's contact details, do not use the main form.

  1. On the login screen, look below the main "Login" button.
  2. Click the link labeled Member Login.
  3. Enter your Member Name and Member Password (these will differ from your Portal login).

Troubleshooting

I forgot my password

If you cannot remember your password:

  1. Click the Forgot password? link located below the Login button.
  2. Enter your Portal Name and Email Address.
  3. Click Reset My Password.
  4. Check your email for a temporary password (this link is valid for 24 hours).

I am "Locked Out"

For security, Roster Portal will lock a user out after a set number of incorrect password attempts.

  • Staff: You must contact your Manager. They can unlock your account via the Admin > Staff Activity page.
  • Managers: If you are locked out, you must contact Roster Portal Support or another Administrator with access to the portal.
